The freight guard car is also known as Caboose at many continents and Indian Railways have various classes of it like BVG, BVGT, MBVG and NBVG. These cars are equipped with an emergency brake option and are used to be coupled at the last of a freight train to accommodate a guard in it.  Earlier they were used to be built with four wheeled bogies but now they are made longer with using the same wheel bogies used in ICF Passenger carriages to refine its running speed.
