Deccan Queen was the first superfast train of India connecting Mumbai to Pune and was also the first passenger train to be hauled by an electric locomotive. This train was the first to offer dinner on board with an integrated pantry car and dining car in one carriage. This train consist of AC and Non-Ac Carriages with a unique integrated dinning car to offer paid meals.
