WDS locomotives are diesel shunting locomotives those are less in power & speed but are quick and high torque to move even heavy carriages or loaded wagons easily. These locomotives are used to assemble or dissemble a train at low fuel expenses as compared to the mainline high speed locomotives. WDS 6 is the 6th generation 1350HP shunting diesel locomotive with a maximum speed limit of 65kmph and is usually seen on work at big stations.
